The Land Registry Departmental Website
To bring Hong Kong’s land registration system in line with the best registration practices
The Land Registry is the Hong Kong SAR government department responsible for registering documents affecting land and property and maintaining a reliable, publicly accessible land register that underpins the integrity of the city's property market. Its website serves an exceptionally broad public-service audience: property owners and prospective buyers, solicitors and conveyancers, banks and authorized institutions, estate agents, surveyors and developers, owners' corporations, researchers, and the general public — alongside business partners and prospective talent.
The site's purpose is to make a complex statutory remit feel clear, trustworthy, and effortless to act on. It organizes the Registry's full scope — deeds registration, search of land records, IRIS online services, owners' corporations matters, property alerts, e-booking, and fees — into intuitive, task-based journeys, so a first-time homeowner and a seasoned legal professional can each find their path in moments. Anchored by the Registry's vision and values, a fully trilingual (English / Traditional / Simplified Chinese), accessibility-conscious build reflects its duty as a government service, turning a dense information resource into an everyday digital gateway for land and property in Hong Kong.
FirmStudio served as the sub-contractor for the project, delivering the full experience layer — user research, information architecture, UX, UI design, and front-end HTML — while Nexify, as main contractor, handled overall project management, CMS development, and integration, together producing a cohesive, citizen-centric digital service.
