Housing Millions: Website Design for the HKHA
The Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) is a statutory body established in April 1973 under the Housing Ordinance. The HA develops and implements a public housing programme which seeks to achieve the Government's policy objective of meeting the housing needs of low-income families that cannot afford private accommodation. The HA plans, builds, manages and maintains different types of public housing, including rental housing, interim housing and transit centres. In addition, the HA owns and operates a number of flatted factories and ancillary commercial and other non-domestic facilities.
We have made use of the Authority’s branding colour throughout the website, and colour-coded the navigation according to categories. Shortcuts have also been neatly displayed on the homepage for easy access to information. The responsive website provides a consistent and optimised experience to users of both desktop and mobile devices and caters for various devices with different screen resolutions and sizes for best viewing. The website is aligned with government specification and we have made every effort to make sure that the website is fully accessible.
