Brief:

Hong Kong Means Business website was first launched in 2015. It serves as an information hub for sharing TDC’s generated content with SMEs and the business communities all over the world. Mobile friendly, user-centric, high engagement of audiences and flexibility on customized content are the key elements for the design of this website. In order to cope with the latest trend on UX/UI design, new online users’ behavior on latest screens and devices and to fit with the new content architecture, a re-design of Hong Kong Means Business is in need.

Hong Kong Means Business (HKMB) underwent a revamp in 2022 and its core Content Management System adopts the “front-end Single Page Application” approach by using of "React.JS" framework. As HKMB is an information portal, its content sources are inputted in the Council wise Content Management System – Teamsite. The content architecture of the website will also be enhanced to incorporate with more featured topics/themes. To fully make use of content tagging, enhancing both technical and content SEO, increasing exposure of our promoted topics and facilitating monetization elements of the website, the new website layout and structure will need to be re-designed to facilitate these requirements.
With the redesign of Hong Kong Means Business put in place, it is not only creating a better user experience for our targeted audiences, but also helps the Council stays competitive in the marketplace.
