Sun Hung Kai Financial was founded in 1969. As of 30th June 2015, it currently has about HK$100 billion in assets under management, custody and/or advice. It has two core business segments, Wealth Management and Brokerage, and Capital Markets. As part of the Wealth Management and Brokerage business segment, we helped SHKF design and develop the websites for their Personalised Investment Service (shkfg.com) and SHK Direct (shkdirect.com).

We developed a new art direction to help rejuvenate SHKF's brand image for both the websites, whilst adhering to the existing branding guidelines. Although both the new website designs utilise the same overarching art direction and are under the same business segment, they each have their own independent target audience and the website designs have been tweaked to accommodate for the different users. In either case, the websites utilise a responsive web design (RWD) and can be pleasantly viewed on desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

For the Personalised Investment Service (shkfg.com), users are offered personalised and expert advice through SHKF's highly regarded team of Investment Consultants. The design and visuals were made to strengthen its position of being professional, reliable and secure. On the other hand, SHK Direct (shkdirect.com) targets more towards web-savvy 'do-it-yourself' users through a cost effective online trading platform. The layout for this website includes more call-for-actions and the design was made to be more energetic and lively to drive users who are self-directed.

Besides the design of the website, one of the key considerations in the development of the websites was on search engine optimisation (SEO). We made on-site enhancements in the coding to make the websites SEO-friendly. Beyond the on-site SEO enhancements, we also provide on-going off-site SEO services for the two websites, in which we continually try to improve on the natural search listing and deliver insightful monthly reports.

Behind the scenes, we developed a comprehensive tailor-made content management system (CMS) based on our well-developed solution, which gives the client the exact high level of control and flexibility they're looking for. Since the website is large in scale, with a high number of departmental editors, our CMS includes functionality for multi-user roles, content approval stages and full-site preview prior to the release of content.
